Meet Arianna...After he decided to team up with Kenny Lerer, the duo met Arianna Huffington, another co-founder of The Huffington Post. Her connections, Lerer's knowledge of business, and Peretti's knack for everything viral, the Huffington Post was born. With the addition of the late Andrew Breitbart, their idea became a reality.

Then Came BuzzFeed...BuzzFeed wasn't always BuzzFeed. Originally named "Buzz Bot", the purpose of the program was to detect any trends in links or news stories that people were looking up. If it was popular, the Bot sent out an IM with a link to the article and get more people to view it. Eventually, the links evolved into a story with a brief summary, which led to the BuzzFeed News that we all know today
